we are working on positive and negative #'s in my college course and I needed a scientific calculator, but I have no Idea how to use it to add or subtract negative #'s or for that matter how to use it at all other than the normal functions. I would appreciate any help from the non-mathmatically challenged like myself! lol.

There should be a button with the display +/-, that would be it. You have to press it after you've entered the number.

Usually on a Scientific calculator the negative key will be by itself and should look something like this... (-)

Alert: the "subtract" and "negative" are different keys.

If I remember correctly, the "negative" is sort of halfway-down the calculator, on the left side. I believe mine looked like this: "( - )". I also think it was the color blue, on my TI-83 Plus.
