I have a thoroughbred gelding whose name is dante and is a chestnut with a blaze and two white socks. He has secretariat as his show name and i cannot seem to think of a cool yet cute SHOW name for him. His fathers name is al mamoon and his mom is renees secret. His registered name is Al Renee but i do not like it that much for just the schooling shows. I did have Gimme' a Sec for his last show name but now i want to have something a little bit mroe original. thanks

he has a semi laid back personality but he can be a but at times and i would like it to be something to do with his lineage.

I think the best way to name an animal is by taking into consideration their temperament, looks, any personality traits they may have. Don't be in such a rush, you love your horse, so take your time something will come to you.

Hi, I love this stuff.....well I have a horse named Pandora and her race name Pandoras Black Box.....for a gelding, I think that " Casanovas Black Book" is "HOT" it leaves a lot to the imagination. lol good luck

umm.. y would u name ur horse, secritariat? Thats like naming your child michael jordan. Thats taking a huge, treasured horse's name.
My horse is mixed with his two parents names. His nickname is louie, but i dont think i want to tell you because u might take his name.

why not just use dante as his show name? the horse i used to ride, his name was tracer and that's what we used in the shows. the horse i ride now, her name is jazz and that's what is used in the shows. the show name doesn't always have to be different from what you use every day.

black- black stallion (a little cliche) umm... rolling thunder
brown- i can't think of any!
silver- lightning, running stream!
White- flash,
All these names cept flash sound kinda indian!
