hi i can totaly relate to your problem as i 'used' to have the same one, i used everything on the market to try and get the sleek shiny straight look and bought 5 different sets of straightners but for my birthday my mother in law bought me some remmington straightners and they were excellent and i borrowed some of her treseme heat defence spray and since then i have used nothing else, 2 years later and i still wont use any other products as my hair is in the best condition ever as the spray protects your hair from the heat of styling and every day stresses that can make your hair weak and dull. it also protects from humidity and i no longer need to worry about getting caught in the rain.
i first thought the heat spray was a little expensive but i soon learned that you only need to use it once while your hair is damp after washing.
hope this has helped you out they deffinetly helped me, before my hair was thick, naturally curly and very frizzy but now its sleek shiny and very healthy

Ok sweetie, as a fellow curly/frizzy straightener, here's what I do.. Towel dry your hair well get as much water out as you can, get some almond oil (a teaspoonful at a time) and work into hair it'll take a couple of times before you get the amount right allow to dry naturally preferably, then straighten. Best of luck!

use mousse..or a straitening balm before you blow dry it....when you use the iron it will seal the cuticle so the moisture will have a harder time penitrating the hair shaft.....never use any products on your hair after you straiten it...it will make it frizz...even shine spray...the only thing that even can be used but just in a small ammount is arisol hair spray...but hold it away from your head when you spray to get a light mist, let it dry for about 10 seconds then brush through...it will also help stop the moisture in the humidity from affecting your hair.....

Don't have it chemically straightened, you'll ruin your hair. People with straight hair would kill for a curl - enjoy your curls!!

Go to a salon and ask a professional, once they take a look at your hair.
