Fleas?
Ticks?
Lice?

Hard to tell from this discription.
Fleas are hard shelled & if you pick one off, it'll jump & disappear.
Ticks look kinda like 6 legged tear drop shaped spiders. They climb UP.... always & forever going up!
Lice are kinda a light brown... yuck!! give me ticks or fleas... I just hate lice!!! I fyou've just gotten her, she needs to go to the vet anyway. They willkow what they are.

Those are fleas, dear. Depending on the kitten's age, you may be able to get her on Frontline. It's safe for use on kittens 8 weeks and older. The first dose will kill the fleas she has and keep them away for a month (after that, you must apply again to get another month of protection).

If the infestation is BAD (I mean, a LOT of fleas), you can take her to the vet for a Capstar treatment. It will kill all the fleas within minutes. But it won't prevent, so you'd need to put her on Frontline after that.

If she's real young (younger than 8 weeks), contact your vet for age appropriate treatments.

Probably either ticks or fleas. New kittens often have fleas. Frontline can be bought at a pet store, or put on by a vet (the kitten should have a checkup anyway) - it works really well. They say it lasts about 3 months, but I found that our cats never got fleas again!
This is a photo of fleas on a cat.http://images.google.tt/imgres?imgurl=http://www.darwinvets.plus.com/images/flea_faeces_hi_res.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.darwinvets.plus.com/cats/fleas.htm&h=439&w=539&sz=34&hl=en&start=20&tbnid=0wugmMGBeXnIaM:&tbnh=108&tbnw=132&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfleas%26start%3D18%26ndsp%3D18%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3Dlang_en%26safe%3Dactive%26sa%3DN Click on the furry photo to see it magnified - is this what your bugs look like? Looks gross, but frontline gets rid of it fast, don't worry. They sell one to put on their shoulders or one to spray all over their body. I found both to be effective, and the shoulder one was less scarey for the cat. However, with a really bad infestation the spray kills all of the fleas at once. If you put the kitten in its box afterwards, you can see them all dropping off - which is pretty satisfying!

Uhmm.. FLEAS. Lol..Get a flea bath but be careful because most of them are only for kittens over like 12 weeks. Take her to a vet for the best advice.

fleas, most likely. Take her to the vet, get her on Advantage, screw flea baths they are a hassle, if you don't have enough money PLEASE, take it to your nearest animal pound, if you keep this cat it will get the fleas all over your house, do NOT set your cat free outdoors to reproduce more flea-ridden kittens that will live a poor life. But trust me on the Advantage, I brought home (to my garage, away from my cats) a stray cat I found and took it to the vet, it had fleas, we got it on the Advantage and within 24 hours they were wiped out, it is what we give our dogs, too, nothing beats it. Goodluck

More than likely they are fleas. I suggest you take her to a veterinarian or shampoo her yourself. Dawn (yes the soap) is a very inexpensive, effective way to get rid of fleas. If you go with the Dawn method, just shampoo her as normally and they should be gone. I hope this helps.

They are fleas. You must get rid of them because they will make your kitten sick. They carry tape worm and they can make your cat anemic because they live off the cat's blood. Please take her to the vet and see what he recommends. I don't know what you would use on a young kitten. There are wonderful products for grown cats that take care of this problem.

sounds like fleas. contact your vet for a flea preventative. If you are in doubt though maybe you should just take your cat to the vet for a check over anyway

most likely fleas. depending on the age, it would not be wise to use flean and tick treatment on her-it could kill her. what you should do is give her a bath with hand dishwahing liquid, like Dawn or Palmolive or even Skin So Soft by Avon. this will get rid of most or all of them and is safe on kittens, puppies, and small animals(guinea pigs, gerbils, etc.). blessed be.
