Seriously underrated actor (and writer). The first Rocky movie is ace - not only a great boxing movie, a great movie period. If he had a dollar for each new boxer that movie has recruited, he'd be a millionaire... no, wait - he IS.
Also, a clever, funny guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. Remember the Contender s.1, when someone asked him if there was gonna be a Rocky 6? The answer to that was "what am I gonna fight? Arthritis?" Gotta love Sly.

Stallone has been good for boxing. The 'Rocky' movies brought an entirely new audience to the sport.

Well I love watching the Rocky films except for the boxing scenes.
Rocky as a fighter stinks. First of all he needs to work on the Big "D" meaning defense. He needs to learn how to slip, duck and catch punches. Next his footwork stinks and he needs to practise his combos (combination punches).

Not Rocky, it is escapist propaganda. I do like a lot of his other movies (Judge Dredd, Cobra, Demo Man etc;).
