Tip???!!!!! I never ever thought of tipping for a haircut. I do pay an extra dollar though since the guy moved to a different location and was not allowed to charge the same he did in the earlier place, but that was just a personal thing, I thought, since I've been going to him for over 26 years now. But I've NEVER thought of it as a tip, or felt I had to tip the guy. I remember the first time I realized the girl at the Sonic Hamburger drivein place expected a tip, and that's the last time I ever went to Sonic, after she gave me my change like I was expecting. I would definitely say 20%... What I always do...is if my styling was 50 dollars... i would tip 15... if it was 40... I would tip 14.... if it was 30....i would tip 13... AND SO ON... Good luck... Coming from experience tipping is the best thing you could do...

My wife says for that type of service, she generally gives 3 - 5 dollars, depending on how good she is and how much they charge for the service. Me, I go to an old fashioned barber. He charges me $16 for a haircut, does a great job, so I give him a $20 bill and call it a day.

15 to 20 percent.
My stylist is excellent. The charge for a haircut is $38 and I usually leave her at least $7.

I dont tip her, I just pay whats required for what she did. I didnt know people tipped hair dressers.
