Call the manager and stay and work until someone showed up or it was time to close.

Suck it up. It happens all of the time. By the way, also look for another job. If you dig the restaurant biz, go apply as a server in a restaurant. By the way, the do they same thing there, as well. Welcome to the wonderful world of Customer Service, food and bev., and all that apply. Even though you are ready to go at the end of your shift, it happens that you might stay a bit longer than expected. If you have kids, you need to take that into consideration. If not, you need to do the same thing. Continue to do a good job, even when the clock says you're done. Your GM will see that, and it's a good thing. Stay cool, be smooth. Good luck.

Sad thing is, is going to happen almost every week and sometimes, every other day. So is better to quit unless you can handle the overtime. Try to find a better job that does not have second shifts.

I'd hang out, but I'd get with the shift manager to have someone come in. If not, I'd just start making some phone calls myself to get it covered.

HI Don!

I would go to the manager and advise that your shift has ended. It is up to you if you can-or want to stay overt. But you have fulfilled your time

stand up and be the man.. call you rmanager, let him know, back him up.. he did hire you.. show some fire and be there.. if you don't like the job of these kinds of things perhaps service isn't for you.. But if you want to stay..BE THERE all the way or just quit
