And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. -Hebrews 11:6

With faith you yourself can be ready for death!

Just some thoughts here.

I would propose that every human being has some sort of faith. You may not call it by any religion. Faith can be applied in life to more than religion. It takes faith to drive through a green light at 40 miles an hour knowing the only thing stopping another person from crossing the street in the opposite direction is faith in a red light and their responsibilty to stop at it. We actually use a lot of faith in each other every day. Religiously many people use faith in a power higher than themselves such as Alcohlics Anonymous with the belief that it is necessary to believe in something more powerful than themselves to take away theiring desire to drink.

For me, faith helps bring meaning to my life, and to these types of events or crises. Sometimes these things can test our faith, or even cause us to doubt our beliefs, but that's ok too. I like to believe that there is an ultimate reality beyond what we know in this world and life.

Faith can also be called optimism, a belief things will be OK, or hope. Christians just hold our "optimism" in God.

Isn't optimism good? Even doctors will tell you it's good to have a positive outlook. It can hasten recovery from, or prevent, illness in some way. Look at the diseases/conditions that are brought on by negative emotions and stress: hypertension, ulcers, headaches, heart attack...

Yes, faith, helps in general.

And I believe it helps me specifically.

The worst crises in my life, after I prayed and got others to pray for me, the first time he spoke to me through a scripture, a psalm that really spoke to me and brought me back to reality. the second time was today, he said 'let go and let God'. I have been suffering following husband affair and trying to sort things out my way. A woman from my church who doesn't know what happened told me God had said this, and now I feel free to put my situation in His hands..it's very releasing.

okay, I'm not gonna waste my time listing down verses or anything that proves how faith helps..

okay, 1stly I'm a muslim.. Our religion helps us in that it makes life that much easier if we choose to live it as such... Even the simplest things in life are controlled or given rules to follow if we choose to believe..also my faith, has showed that it has quite modern beliefs.. Which shows God knows exactly how our world will turn out

For a very simple example, Muslims are not allowed to take Alcohol... for the reason that it makes us, duh, drunk and inhuman.. on a common sense scale, it helps us save money from buying liqour right?

simple things like this make my belief stronger and makes me get on with life easier.. I don't have the kinds of problems like my friends of some other religions, or who have no religion at all..

by allways having faith and remembering it, we also can keep ourselves in check.. always remembering our actions..

I am struggling financially right now. I didn't work all summer because I had neck surgery, so I am extremely behind on utility payments and other bills. My Jeep just broke down and now I have that additional bill. My faith in the Lord helps me deal with the financial burden. I know the Lord will get me through it. He helped me heal from the surgery and return to work. He will take care of all my needs.

As a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN i have to depend on my faith in Jesus' Sacrifice on the Cross every minute of every day, i have to be led by the Holy Spirit ALWAYS or else i will stumble!
Too many so called christians just claim Christ in church rather than taking Him home into their lives where He can do the most beautiful, spiritually reviving thing in them.
Dont be a "fair weather" christian but surrender your will over to God through His Son by accepting that Jesus died for you on the cross to save YOU from HELL and let the Holy Spirit LEAD YOU in all things and i PROMISE you wont be sorry! AMEN.

Yes it does. I'm an ex-atheist who only recently started living in faith. I really wish I had found it earlier. Read the book "Live Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen. Its a great book and is one of the years bestsellers for good reason. It'll answer your question in great detail.

People who believe in God, invoke God and ask for His help in crises. They believe that the all Merciful will help them. In the moment of joy they praise him for His blessings. If one believes in the hereafter and that the life of this world is a trial, then he surely has to seek God. A believer asks for His help in every matter. He asks God to grant him the things he wishes and strives for. And if is not able to get it, he believes that it was not good for him and God has some better to grant him.

Believing does change life a lot.

Faith will be of help in the future if her dad don't care. ok ok define faith ; trust in the unknown that's it? yep, ya see w/o faith we would not be here, we would never take another plane trip, go to sea in ships. we always have faith we will return. we put our trust and faith in the pilot that controls the aircraft to take us to far away places. do you eat at pizza shops , drink from a aluminum can, buy gas at stations, cross the street in the middle of the block.? looks to me as if you have a little faith........
