If I was closer.. I would but not.. I do hope you find a good home for them.. It is traumatic for an animal to leave one house to another

Hi there... consider using either Petfinder.com or Craigslist to find your two kitties a good home. Here's the direct link to NY Craigslist: http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/ny. Choose your nearest town and then under the section Community look for the subsection Pets to post the ad. Please consider asking a very small adoption fee ($15-30 per cat or a discount for both together) to disuade potentially unsuitable people who are looking for a cat to use for research, use for dog bait training or worse to people who like to abuse animals for fun. Request to do a home inspection for a few months to ensure your kitty will not be given away again and/or that the living conditions are acceptable for your kitties too.

why would you just give away a 11 year old cat???????????

Do not send them to a shelter!!!!!!!! I work at a cat shelter in Ny and I can tell you we will NOT take cats over 8. They never do well, get sick, and most of the time do not eat and get fatty liver disease and die.
It is WAY more humane to euthanize the cat yourself than to drop the cat at a shelter and have them do the dirty work.

Why do you want to give up your babies after so many years..they rely on you...it would seem to me that there is a major reason why you don't want or can't keep your babies anymore...check with a nursing home as long as they are lovable or an assited living place where there are lonely seniors who might just want loving cats. Hope this helps you.

use www.petfinder.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's awesome and way better than having to sadly give them to a already-full shelter where they might not find homes. please try that site or at least look at it, i discovered my dog on there and now she has a happy home....
