i cant clean it because after loading it keeps reading my dvd home movies as bad disc. so it wont play at all!
i was wondering could it be locked or could the region need to be changed? help!!

Colby is not one of the most reliable brands to buy. Buy a new DVD movie & see what happens. If it works then your old disc have too many scratches on them. If it doesn't work then you have a bad DVD player.

More than likely the laser is bad, Colby is not a quality brand. Get a new DVD and if that doesn't work invest another DVD player not Colby!!!

I agree. now may be the time to be a liar. Take it lower back the place you get carry of it and say "I hooked each and every thing up properly, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not artwork. i elect my money lower back". Then earlier YOU PLUG UP the hot ONE, purchase a surge suppressor to ward off that interior the destiny.
