It is easier to be proud because that aligns with our sin nature. Being humble doesn't come naturally to very many people.

That is probably one of the most best questions I have heard so far!!! Yes it is easier to be proud beacause to be humble takes humility and no one likes it to put themselves second best!!! "I think there is weakness in pride, and strength in humility" - That is very good said because how can you build yourself up if you always think that you are the best and on top of the world?

it is easy to take pride, and be proud, arrogant. when you are proud, you think of yourself as being better than anyone else, not give credit when credit is due, or that only you know what is best.
having humility shows that you are not perfect, never will be perfect, and that there is a supreme being that IS perfect, and that he knows what is best for you.
it is easier to be proud, than it is to be humble. and remember,
there are two ways to be: What is right, and what is easy.
the easy way out, is often the worst.

Said perfectly. Pride uses the focus on self. Humility focuses on others, realizing that one does not need credit for what one does, simply the satisfaction that it was right.
You could also look at pride as a measure of self-respect. I take pride that the work I do is top notch. In this sense, both are good.

I think it depends on the person and the people who claim not to care what others think seem to be the proudest. They want the world to work their way.
It was hard for me to humble myself the first time but it's getting easier.

It's easier to be proud because people feed off their ego.Being humble is alot more difficult.

And i totally agree, wit u. For me i would say it's easier to be humble, but for most it's easier to be prideful, ppl like to feel as if they got it all together, that they got where they are by themselves, ppl like to feel good bout who they are, which is where pride kicks in, humility is allowin' yourself to see u have faults and u cant do it all on yo own, it's realizin' u not all that! But God is, we have everything we have cuz of GOd not ourselves dats wut folks need to realize.

It is human nature to be proud of ourselves and of our loved ones.
It is written that we must "become" humble and give all glory to God.
So, yes it is much easier to be what our own nature is, and very difficult to humble ourselves before man and God all the time, not just in prayer.

It's good to be proud, but dumb to be proud without reason.
It almost seems as if everyone is just saying its better to be humble because it sounds nice.
