No. He would be a conservative. There is a difference. Republicans follow the party line, reagardless of what the issue. Conservatives have a specific belief system and follow it. God is conservative because
1. He believes in humility. If you notice, the arrogant politicans are liberals and liberal Republicans.
2. He believes in the defense of life. Conservatives are constantly demonized for this. They are pro-life and against abortion. Liberals are for allowing any types of behavior, and having irresponsible sex and getting rid of the problem by aborting it. Sexual morality is a huge problem in this country and the conservatives are the only ones standing up for it.
3. I believe that God wants us to be free. Conservatives want government out of our pocket books stealing our money and redistributing it. This also means freedom from seizure of private property, which conservatives are insensed about. In fairness, this issue has also gotten some liberals and many Democrats up in arms.
You can say for sure that God would never be a liberal, Democrat, Libertarian, Liberal Republican. The only thing left is Conservative.

Why would GOD want to be republican in the first place?Would you think he would bother? Do you think that you can think! God comes to save or destroy;not to waste time in political affairs of the worldly matters of non-importants! It is written: things of the world is meaningless and thats all the devil can conquer, but eternal life is threw Jesus Christ the Savior! Make sure you understand that, whether you are republican or not? Like it matters or do you matter to yourself when he stands in front of you!? If God gave you a brain you wouldn't ask the most stupid question? If GOD???????

Jesus, (God the Son) while he was on earth didnt align himself politically, but just did the will of God!
However Republicans seem to be the only party worried about conservative values so they have the most in common with Jesus.

That reminds me of an interesting account in the Old Testament. Joshua was wanting to know if GOD was on their side. It goes like this: (Joshua 5:13-15)
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does my Lord have for his servant?" The commander of the LORD's army replied, "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.
