There are a few possibilities if you are being sensible about this.
She could not care about looks and like your personality.
You could not be as bad looking as you believe you are.
She could be a big flirt with everyone.
She could be trying to just embarrass you.
She could be on some kind of horrific dare by someone as a joke.
It could be a lot of things.
Just play it cool, don't look very interested in her.
Talk to her a little and see what her attitude is like in a conversation.
If she is serious then y'all can develop a friendship first and then see where it goes from there.
If she is NOT really interested then at least you don't end up looking like an idiot, you won't get dissed, and you will get the last laugh and not her.
I really hope that she is serious in her flirtations and that you can strike up a mature conversation with her and become friends.
But for your sake, just go into things very cautious and be prepared for anything.

Well...I hate to say this, but the popular girls pretty much flirt with every one. And I mean EVERYONE. Don't think too much of it. If you want to pursue it fine, but keep this in mind.

Nobody is out of anybody else's league. Have confidence in yourself, I have seen some fairly strange couples in one being gorgeous the other... well lets just say not gorgeous. Enjoy the attention, and try to take it to a higher level, she probably has a crush on you.
