Hers a tip if you do like tuna alot and are worried about the Mercury buy the cheap tuna instead of the chunk white
the cheaper tuna is from smaller tunas and has a very little amounts of mercury if any and the chunk white comes from the big fish. It works like this the longer a fish lives and the larger it gets the higher concentrartion of mercury in the meat and hey save some money too with the cheap cans of tuna the taste is almost identical the meat is just a little more pink than white.

I was just reading about this a couple of days ago, in canadian living or everyday food i think. It is not bad for you too have it every day unless you are really young or really old (as with most other things). Also, albacore tuna has more mercury in it than other types of tuna. oh, and this only applies to canned tuna, because it is from a smaller fish. fresh tuna or frozen tuna has high levels of mercury.

It does have levels of mercury in it, so if you're eating it everyday then that's too much. I read somewhere that you should not be eating more than 3 servings of tuna per week.

Tuna is good for you, but there can be a problem with it. Tuna contains mercury and by eating it to often you can raise the levels of mercury which um sure you can tell...isnt good

Yes, that is true. Everything in moderation!
I haven't had a good Tuna Melt in a while. But you really shouldn't eat it too much. Think about how polluted our waters are now. Its a crying shame.

weight lifters and people on diets eat tuna every day.
If you worry about any small amounts of mercury or any other pollutants in the food you eat, then you do not want to know whats in the air or water either.

Tuna does have some mercury in it. You could ask your doctor about it. As long as you aren't eating ten cans a day, you'll be ok.

No...it won't kill you if that's what you mean. But I wouldn't advise you to eat just tuna every single day - you're missing out on other vitamins, minerals, etc that you find in a variety of foods that your body needs to function.
