Chihuahua are very tiny and cute. They are also very high-strung and nervous in any new situation. You just need to make sure that you are being very gentle and loving to the cutie for the first few days, until he/she becomes more comfortable and trusting. Best of luck with your new family member, they are so adorable! Have a good night!

The chihuahua, which is a pint-sized canine with a macho streak, according to canismajor.com is prone to shiver when it's excited or stressed. It is not a health issue so don't worry.

Yes, I have a Chihuahua, and he is a nervous wreck around new sorroundings or people. He is always looking to lay down under a balnket, pillow, etc.

It is very common. They do this when they are in unfirmilar places or when they are around people that they do not know. It is a defense mechanism for them. Once they relax they are usually fine, but if you are concerned or it doesn't stop then you should contact your vet to see if their is a naurological issue going on.

I think she or he is just nervous, the little dogs like that do shake when frightened. If it did not do that before it just needs to become comfortable with it be sure to introduce his old toys and blankets if he or she has any. make sure he/she is not insecure by cuddling and paying attention to him/her.

Your new chi is nervous and does not understand what is going on. They shake when they are nervous, cold, and just because they are a chi. Puppy or adult?

Though they can be loud pets, they tend to get nervous in new sourroundings. So it will take a little time for him/her to feel safe. Just keep him/her close and reassure him/her that its ok.
