You should wait at least 10 days, or until stiches are removed. If there are no stiches on the outside, make sure it looks healed before u bathe your dog. You will feel a knot there for quite a while, the inside stiches take a while to dissolve.

I've always been told to wait 10 days to 2 weeks. Have you thought about calling your vet. and asking questions? After care is usually included in the cost in the procedure, this includes removing the stitches.

you need to call the vet, my dogs always had stitched that had to be removed and then they could be bathed. not before. you need to talk to the vet. and they should have come out in 7 to 10 days I would guess. two weeks at the most.

dont give him/her a bath i have 3 dachs. and when they got neutered we had to wait for them to get the stiches out. you can give them a sponge bath just dont get any water on the stiches, cause water can get in or can soak up and dirt will collect and cause an infection, call you vet

I wouldn't until you check with your vet. The water may have some effect on the stitches

I was told a week, just make sure you keep the area dry and keep him from scratching. Watch for swelling, bleeding or him even whining. That my mean he has an infection. After a week he should be ready for a bath.

dont give him a bath yet, get some baby wipes, and wipe him off,and then out some moisurizing lotion on him, witch these will freshen his skin, and make him feel better.and would wait til his stitches comes out or disolves first before i put him in water.

Wait until you can ask the vet - you don't want to deal with any infection.
