Call and ask the director if there's something they need -- crayons, toys, stuffed animals, etc. Or maybe you could help with the refreshments: sugar free/no sugar/no nuts added stuff would be good so that all the kids and parents could enjoy them, irregardless of health.
I would definitely call first and ask, though.

You're not expected to take anything. But if you know the center is low on funds, you could donate books, puzzles or crayons and paper.
