I would like to know the wacky habits of your cats. Mine for example, The Evil One is in LOVE with plastic Bags, and also enjoys knocking things off table tops. Tap, tap, and on the floor it goes. Oh and he steals the meat thermometer, we find it days later behind the couch, or the toilet.

Evil Too however likes to sit at the window sill and make this scratchy pathetic attempt at a meow. I only assume he is trying to verbally assault the bypassing birds, but I just feel sorry for him.

Princess Puca is SPOILED. I have never met another cat who whines all the time. It's these high pitch meows, when I don't look at her, when I am not petting her, when she doesn't know where I am, or my favorite, when she is bored. so basically ALL the time. She's the spolied baby!

Well I would love to hear about yours!

I swear to God this is true.

My oldest cat (13 yrs) figured out by herself how to flush the toilet to get a fresh cold drink of water. She has been doing this for many years. When the other 2 want a drink they go to the bathroom and wait for her. She will jump up on the back of the toilet tank, place her right paw on handle and lean on it with all her weight. I always provide a fresh bowl of water but they prefer the toilet!!! This means I have to scrub the toilet EVERYDAY.
I did not teach her this. She watched me and put 2+2 together. No one will ever tell me that animals don't 'think'.

Our cat Lottie does a victory dance when she's done a number two in her tray - my husband says it must just be relief!!! She goes dotty for a couple of minutes, running back and forth and jumping up on to the window ledge, almost as though she's about to make an announcement to the world!

She also has thing for mirrors and reflections of any kind - she stares at them for ages, moving her head just slightly every now and again. Always makes you look but there's never anything there...

We've another cat, Stanzi, who does a brilliant "vertical take-off" when there are little bugs flying in the garden - and even at nearly nine years old she can still jump several feet in this way! I don't think she ever catches any, though.

Another of our cats, Cliffie, does what I call seagull impersonations - I have honestly never heard a cat with such a bizzare miaow!

I think its only our elderly lady, Calico, who doesn't have any quirks. She's very staid and likes to doze a lot in the garden!

My cat Baxter has learned how to open one of the cabinet doors in the kitchen. He crawles inside and takes a nap. He dosen't eat any of the food, I guess he just likes his own little spot.

He also likes dirty clothes. He will get into them at night and in the morning I will find them all over the house (he has a preference for socks and underware!)

Both of my cats will actually "tell" me when they want something. I'll ask them "what" and they will take me to the water dish if it is empty or the litter box when it is full, or when it is time to be fed in the morning. They will even wake me up if I'm not up at normal feeding time which is usually 5am, that is when my boyfriend goes to work, so on his days off, they will come in and let me know it is time for breakfast!

They will also, what we call bark, at the birds and other animals that are outside when they are looking out the window.

Ok Maxwell is the only cat we have currently but he is certainly a handfull i can tell you!!! When folding bedsheets to iron he likes to jump inside and be swung back and forth like hes in a hammock, usually leaves the clean sheets covered in hair so they need cleaning AGAIN. Cant leave boxes about anywhere because he climbs inside or tears them to pieces and spits the card all over the floor. If you pick up a hairbush when hes around he will pester and pester until you brush him too, the same with most foods. He will not give up until hes got what hes after! The cat is like another child in this house, what maxwell wants- maxwell gets!

M;y youngest cat is really crazy. He jumps onto this one toy we have for them instead of climbing up normally, he has a foot obsession(or with anything that moves basically that he can attack), and he is kinda obsessed i guess you could say with me b/c especially when we first got him he wouldnt' leave me alone. He actually didnt' even want me to look at the other cats when we were looking at the animal shelter b/c he kept meowing at me to come back to his cage. One of the other ones is obsessed with anything that moves he can kill. He is alwa;ys coming home with some sort of animal it seems like. The two oldest ones totally are in love with each other which is so odd b/c you don't think of cats being like that toward just one other cat. We call them the couple b/c wherever one is the other one is there too. They are like married or something. The other other one I didn't mention is really shy so I have no clue what she does. Oh yea, I have five cats btw.

My Tiger is a spoiled baby too. She cries when we aren't in the same room with her until i call her and she comes running to me. Then, she will pick a fight with my other cat and then start crying so I think the other one started it and yell at her.

Lily is my little cuddle kitty. She loves to sit with us and watch TV. I hold her like a little baby and she is so happy and purrs really loud when I do. She makes silly noises ALL the time. Shes so talkative. She sounds like a pigeon cooing. It's like "plllllllllllllllt" and real cute.

They both like to look out the front door. Lily will stand on her hind legs with her front paws on the window looking outside at the birds and cars driving by. She also stands up on her hind legs when i dangle a toy in her face and hold that position for a while..i call her my little circus bear because that is just what she looks like!

Then if there is a fly or something flying around in the house they both go nuts and start running around, making this clicking noise. I listened to them and learned to make the noise so sometiimes i will get them going when there is no fly to chase! It is so funny, i wish you could see it.

Isn't it funny how we love our cats so much? They are like little people! I could talk about them forever! Im done now though.. lol.

Thank you for asking. Hunter (the male kitten) keeps Zelda (his sister) from getting too close to my head at night. He is usually very jealous, tries to climb into anything he can squeeze his large body into - a newspaper wrapper, a cabinet, the dishwasher or refrigerator. His sister, Zelda, stands next to the butterfly bush (she is tall and thin) on her hind legs like a human. She is very still and quiet and when a butterfly comes within range, she jumps up like a shot to catch it. She also climbs over the fence (using a tree) to go to the neighbors yard. She used to pretend she didn't know how to get back home. Anything that falls into a wastebasket is the property of Zelda. She also guards the fruit bowl and occasionally tries to lick or take a bite out of peaches or nectarines.

My cat loves to knock over people's drinks. If she sees a cup or glass of something sitting out somewhere, she stalks it until she is able to knock it over. What I mean by stalking it is that she waits until no one is watching to make her move. She doesn't try to drink whatever was in it -- it actually seems like a sport to her! Also, if she sees a tissue box that she can get to, she'll pull out all of the tissues with her mouth! Another thing she does sometimes is turn on my bedroom light at 5:00 a.m. wanting to be fed! How she accomplishes this is by jumping up on the back of a chair that sits just below the light switch. She is perfectly positioned to reach the switch, and turns it on with her mouth. (One of these days I'll get around to moving that chair!)

My cat, Tiggy, recognizes my daughter's boyfriend's car. A neat trick since he has only had it a few months and is away at school so only in town occasionally. When he brings my daughter home, he parks on the street by our mailbox. Tiggy immediately runs over, jumps on the hood and stares at them through the windshield. She's a good chaperone as she will not give up the stare down until my daughter gets out of the car.

That's funny, anyway, all of my cats do the chatting meow, it is something they do when they see birds, I still don't know what the nature of it is, but we call it, the "talking bird meow". My baby girls is just like yours, she follows me around all day and she talks to me, well you know that cat meow all the time! she loves to get under the blankets or under any piece of cloth and lay there forever. Bruin, he is something else, he loves sleeping with his belly up with arms and legs completely stretched out, he looks so adorable, and Bushy he is the one who does all the cute stuff, he chews on anything that will sound crunchy, it is so cute.
