What should I know before I proceed with this? There is a girl that is interested in me, but I'm not sure how to approach her.

I guess approach her like you would any other girl. By interacting and spending time with her, you would know more about what she likes and prefers. You would be surprised to learn that any person of any race is actually more alike than different. Any cultural / ethnic differences just makes knowing people interesting and shows the uniqueness of each one of us.
