Ok i have found 2 what look like conch little things and when i crach them open they have gooey stuff inside. they like hang on to my cats fur and its really wierd cuz we dont live anywhere near the ocean and they look like little conch shells.So does anyone know what they are? or if they are harmful?

and no they are not ticks i know what ticks look like and they are not ticks

yes my cat goes outdoors but i have never ever ever seen an adult snail in my area and i have lived here15 years

What you probably found were some snails, they actually do look like small conch shells.
in your yahoo tool bar type in snail photos and im sure you will find exactly what you are looking for, as for wrether they may be toxic to your kittie, don't really know.

that sounds very strange sounding....maybe the are ticks? which do not really look like conch but they do attach and get engorged ...wierd??
