I have been going to the library and the librarian is hot. When I ask her a question sometimes she plays with her beautiful hair, also sometimes she slowly scratches the table with her long nails. Are these both signs of flirting?

Those are nerous gestures rather than flirtatious ones. She could either be attracted to you which causes her nervousness, or intimidated in someway. The playing with ther "beautiful hair" is often seen as a sexual gesture. So, let me ask you? How long have you been attracted to this woman?

No. I don't believe so. I think she's a librarian and is uncomfortable with you for some reason, like general shyness around people, not you specifically, unless you do something every time that makes her unsure.... Do you want her to flirt?
On the other hand, maybe she is. Why don't you make a remark that would lead into finding out if she's single. Watch her reaction.
Honestly, I don't go by body language books. I go by what the person does and my sense of it....

hmm are u sure there is no "bug/insect" on the desk -- she is just trying to kill -- u never know -- what sign is for what -- u either have to ask or ignore. in your case --I would put forward the statement "You have beautiful hair -- i guess if I were to count it -- I would be a Librarian too!" Half joke, half serious. Watch her reaction. If ok -- ask her what time she finishes...and be there. The rest is easy. You don't need good luck you already have one.

It sounds like signs of nervousness. She may or may not be attracted to you. Talk to her some more when you're there, and see how she responds.

If these are the only things she is doing...then i doubt it. Any eye contact...thats always a good sign.

i think she maybe flirting why dont you ask her out you have nothing to lose you never know you maybe pleasantly surprised she may say yes GOOD LUCK
