Actually you have to strip the color first and then put a toner on it.If you just put a color on it,it will be brassy.

Does your hair also have a perm on it. If so and it has grown out the new growth is virgin hair and the permed hair will then give you two different colors. Hopefully not that much, just depends on the amount of growth. You might want to use at least 30 volume peroxide with the color. You could just use the Kaliedo Colors, not the color, and do even better. This is a two in one process and it comes in 3 formulas. I will say look up the best
salon in your area then make an appointment.
If you do not know of one, watch people and their hair, then ask one whom they go to. It will be a compliment to the customer as
the stylist. Good luck

It depends on the volume of peroxide you use people turn orange when there hair is dark and they only use a 20 volume or when they pick a bottle from the store not knowing what level that shade will lift too. Go to a public beauty supply like a Sally's or something and get it their the product there will tell you if it lifts 10 shades and you can get your 40 volume .They also have some cream bleaches that are safe for the scalp too .They have alot and they are willing to help you in there.

There are a few blonding kits that,if you turn orange the first time you can do the bleaching again in 48 hours.I honestly think it would take a lot to really damage hair...after witnessing what my mother has done to her hair. I think she used Loreal.Good luck!!

please don't do it - it will be pumpkin orange!
I had to spend lots of $$$ at the hairdresser last summer having my daughter's hair fixed.
Please have a hairdresser do it - you will be much happier with the results!
