Tim sylvia tested posative for steroids and was suspended from the UFC for 1 year. So he can expect a 1 year suspension and a big fine. Bonnar was under alot of pressure to win this fight, Griffin/Bonnar 1 was really the only good fight he has put out in his UFC career. He lives 3 hours from his gym and only trains 2-3 times a week, he is not a member of camp so has no regular sparing partners and since his coach ceaser gracie died he really doesn't have training of a UFC fighter with six figure contract. He felt the pressure and decided he needed an edge, everyone makes mistakes but unfortunatly this one may cost Stephan Bonnar his career.

I would say yes, but only after the 20 day limit for denying the claims is up. If he's not thrown out, he'll be suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission. He can also be fined up tp $250,000. (If you remember Kimo, he tested postive after UFC 48 a couple of years ago and to my knowledge hasn't fought in the US since.) That's almost as thoughtless as Jackson having to leave the TUF house and a chance at the title shot over a lifeguard he just met.

In my opinion Stephan did this because he knew he couldn't beat Forrest! The great thing about it is Forrest still won!!
Stephan knew if he didn't win the rematch he would only be on the undercard fights. Let's be real he lost 3 times in a row now and he knows everyone will view him as washed up and who wants that???? But cheating isn't the way to do it and now hes gotta pay with a suspension and a fee! Maybe he shouldn't have taken the fight he knew he didnt have a chance to win?

WOW! Now that's an exclusive! Damn I'm speechless! I mean I'm not impressed with him fighting wise but he was the last guy I would expect to juice up. He'll get suspended indefinately in the state where he tested positive in and once that happens it'll be hard for him to get a fight in any other state until her's cleared by the state who suspended him to fight again. Seeing as how he's not winning fans over in UFC, now's his chance to go to Pride FC and try to make a name for himself. I'm not sure if they follow the same regualtions we do as far as drug use in fighting goes, but in either case it can't hurt him to try.

If he tested positive, then yes, he'll be thrown out. That's a shame too, I've liked him ever since the show on Spike.

I cannot believe that. I mean, he seemed like a decent fighter trying to get his foot in the door. Wow.
