If you are referring to the Independence Day holiday, then no, as the holiday in the United States is a celebration of independence from England. If you are referring to the date, then yes.

Sort of. They would write it as 4/7 while North Americans would write it as 7/4. The question then becomes does the U.S. have a 7th of April? :-)
