ok now, i like this guy named brett. he's in my art class and we have a lot of things in common. we like the same bands (never talked about it, can tell from the band tees) have the same shoes (converse chuck taylors) and we are both in art. there are some other things but they are trivial and dont matter as much. we are both really timid, so its hard for us to talk to each other. we have had a few conversations, but he kept saying really stupid things in a really serious tone, like he was nervous. today we kept looking at each other, and when we saw the other looking, we looked down. do you think he likes me and if he does then how do i get him to approach me? i really like him a lot so its really important. no sarcastic answers please.

Say something short and nice to him, for example "nice shirt I like them too" (since he wears similar band tees as you do). Or compliment his art "wow I like how you did that".

Short compliments will make it easy for you to talk to him, and if you keep it up (once or maybe twice a day at most) Brett will begin to realize that you like him (he is just scared of rejection) and he will start to talk back.

When I was in school I used this type of social exchange a lot with girls I wanted to see if I could be friends with them. After you become friends you will be able to explore if there is a future between the two of you. Good Luck.

Well, first of all, one of you is going to have to get over the shyness thing. After that, see if maybe he would like to go to a movie, or maybe a ball game at school. Somewhere that you will have other people around that you know, but yet can still have a little private time together to talk and really get to know each other. If there's a spark, you'll know it. If not, you'll know that too. Good luck, hon, and God Bless!

I belive that he does. Don't look to deep in it though. Just because you are in art together doesn't mean he likes ya, but the looking away is probably a sure sign. Just bring up the courage to ask him about it, if you can't then have one of your friends do recon and have them ask Brett. I would advise you to get an answer. Good Luck!!

next time you want a snack/drink and are going to the vending machine, ask if he'd like some also (so he can go with you). or next time it seems you are both relaxing for a moment, strike up a conversation (pick something you'd both feel comfortable talking about, like "what got you interested in art?") the question may seem dumb to begin with, but remember, it's a starting point.

Tell him after your next conversation that he is very easy to talk to. Then ask him if it would be OK to call him some time. It is very non committal & you can gauge his interest by his response.

Yes, it sounds like he likes you, too. You just have to talk to him some more and allow him to relax around you so he'll open up some. Good luck!

Sounds cute, actually. I would exchange e-mails and start talking in an innocent way. Good luck!

He definetly likes you. He's just shy, maybe if u made the first move or maybe slip him a note or something he'll ask u out.
