Oh, good lord. Grenadine is pomegranate syrup, available in any proper store that sells mixers and/or alcoholic drinks. (Grenadine itself is non-alcoholic, but it's used in many mixed drinks.)
Making something with cherry Kool-Aid and sugar and calling it grenadine is like putting a litter of kittens in the oven and calling them biscuits.
There are other uses for actual grenadine, aside from the classic (Tequila Sunrise) -- I like to mix a little with plain yogurt and use it as a dip for fresh fruit for dessert, or as a fruit-salad dressing. The sweetness of the grenadine and the tartness of the yogurt makes a great combination.

I've never heard of making it with koolaid. Here's a link I found, using pomegranate juice. It probably will turn out much better than the koolaid recipe, if there is one.

You dont make grenadine .just spend 7-10 and buy a bottle of it save yourself the hassle..

i guess it would work though, you can buy mixes and premade bottles of the stuff at stores
