Consider Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

So does this mean God or the Holy Ghost was the father of Jesus Christ? Or are God and the Holy Ghost one and the same??

Just for reference, I am not wanting to know who the man was who fathered Jesus Christ. I understand perfectly that Mary was a virgin who conceived. I was looking for the actual father. Apparently, Jesus had two fathers. Everyone here is saying God, but scripture says she conceived of the Holy Ghost, so apparently they are both the father of Christ.

The father of Jesus Christ was the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost is God, and the Christ is God, robed in flesh.
Jesus was not in the god-head the god-head was in Jesus.
Jesus is the one and only God, He is King of kings.

Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,

Sounds to me like you may want to read the Bible yourself. Anyone that has read the Holy Bible knows that God is the Father of Lord Jesus. No other man can be the father. Mary is the mother because that's who God chose. The virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus. Key word (VIRGIN) therefore no man could be the father only God.

The Holy Spirit was the father of the human Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity. The Father is the first person, and Jesus is the second person.

Jesus Christ did not have an earthly father only a heavenly one.It says in the bible that Jesus was born unto the virgin Mary.If Mary was a virgin then you know that Jesus did not have a earthly father image. Jesus Father was God and only God.

Not intending to insult anyone, just trying to give a well-considered answer.

Christian literature would have us believe that Mary was magically impregnated by a supernatural being. For those who find this utterly incredible, the question remains open and probably will remain open. There's insufficient evidence to believe with any certainty that Jesus lived at all, but, if he did, his mother certainly had sex with some man. That's how children are begot. Was the father Joseph, her betrothed, who afterward denied it? Perhaps. Some other man unidentified in scripture? Probably.

His father was the Father in Heaven. Jesus' human body was the result of a virgin birth.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. -Isaiah 7:14
