story of my life
when i looked like a scrawny supermodel i would plan out my meals ( about 4-5 small meals a day) for the whole week! so for 1 or 2 days i'd be cooking a big meal and split it up in little containers and put them in the fridge. i'd include snacks like carrots, and fresh salad every day. anything like pasta, mashed potatos or other carbos i would only eat like 1 small cup of it and everything i'd eat had to include a big salad with it. if i'd get hungry i would pig out on fruit and other veggies! i worked out every single day for 45 minutes except for the weekends, i would relax. i did this religiously for a couple of months and i looked INCREDIBLE!! when i reached my goal weight (115) i was so stoked I broke down and ate whatever I wanted. 1 year later and i gotta start all over again LOL not funny tho damn it!! if you look at my questions i posted an almost identical question. well if you're serious about this we can be friends and support each other, i'm going to do the same thing. write me if you want to be support pen pal buddies. Good luck!

try associating candy and sodas and what not with something healthy like a salad or fruits or nuts (if u want to binge). So say u have a candy, after each bite u take 5 almonds. or u have a 5 plums with that mexican. This is called a Pavlov conditioning technique. So the condition or status of your mind binging on unhealthy stuff will soon be the SAME when you eat the fruits salads nuts! So you would have the same satisfying binge effect when you're eating healthy. :)
This is also a good way to quit smoking.

Cut out ALL soda & candy. Simple sugar, especially High Frutose Corn Syrup (the sweetener in sodas) is VERY bad for your system.
Treat yourself by having a dessert, but instead try a lower-sugar all natural ice cream or a serving of fruit.
Mexican food isn't inherently bad. Americanized deep-fried cheese coated fat-laden "Mexican" is very bad. Try going to real mexical resturants if you can to sample authentic cuisine. When you do go out, avoid things that are deep fried (chimichanga) or coated in extra cheese (cheese quesadilla). Instead why not have vegetable fajitas with only 1 or 2 tortilla shells and minimal sour cream.
Maybe to stay motivated with the exercise you need to be doing something more satisfying than running for the sake of running. Maybe alternate with a different activity you enjoy more, like walking along the beach? Or speed walking a big indoor mall while you windowshop and people watch?
It's not so much exercise but keeping active that is important. Just find lots of litle ways to be more active, and then you can get away with not having to run your butt off every night. For example take a flight of stairs instead of the elevator. Don't go out of your way to park in the first row parking spot... or if visiting several stores in the same shopping center, don't move the car each time.
Here's a tip: Just cutting out watching TV and replacing it with somethign constructive will burn calories. Why not plant a garden or do crafts instead of sitting motionless in front of the tube?
Best of luck to you!

Join a gym, and get an exercise partner.
Create NEW weekend routines. When you get paid, dont' go to eat pizza or mexican. First go to the gym, then go eat a light salad, and maybe a third of the portion you usually eat.
Try "get fit" mexican. This means, AVOID the TEX MEX places you usually go to. Make your own meals if you have to.
I suggest you learn how to make your own low carb and low fat salads, soups, even fowls and meats. Read Muscle and Fitness Magazine.
How many really fat native Mexicans and Central Americans have you seen, compared to Americans? Why? What sort of life style do they have?
Work more. Walk more. Bike more. Love more.
YOu know what I mean.

Don't 'cut back' on soda and candy - cut them out altogether.
No soda, no candy. Drink only water, several times a day, and milk and juice just a few times a day. The pounds will start to shed, and you will be motivated to continue. Once you start feeling better, you will want to do well.

Why don't you get together with a friend? Arrange to meet everyday and go jogging together. The company will make it easier and you'll be safer on the streets with a buddy.
If weekends are a problem......find something else to do other than eating. Take a class, join a club, meet up with your friends and do other things.
Good luck!

Find a friend to do it with you. Trust me, I am LAAAAAZY (and love margaritas, chips and salsa), and it's the only thing that works for me.
Also, keep it interesting. If you get bored from running, try training for a 5K or 10K race (preferably as part of a team - that will REALLY get you going). If you're still bored, try a class. One of my friends and I are going to take salsa lessons. Another one of my friends is dragging me to boot camp (they call you if you don't show up - that's good motivation for me).
Good luck, and let me know if you find anything else that works to get you motivated.
P.S. Give yourself at least 1-2 "off" days a week so that you don't burn out. I call these my "margarita days."

So hard, I know! Maybe you could keep a piece of clothing you love that is too small for you now out and try it on a few times a week. As you lose weight and get closer to fitting into your 'skinny clothes' you might stay motivated. Good luck!

Motivation must come from within. Nobody else can motivate you as much as you can do it yourself.
Try create a vivid mental picture of you being fit; the things you could do as a fit person; the other benefits...Reinforce it everyday...
That will be a great motivation....

Motivation for weight loss and fitness
One of the greatest difficult tasks is to motivate you for weight loss. After one month around, you start your enthusiasm in your weight loss and fitness program. I have learned few things that that has helped me to be motivating towards the fitness program and get my weight loss goal. I think these tips will also helps you as well to loose weight and keep motivated towards various weight loss and fitness programs.
* Once you have started your weight loss program, its a great idea to weigh yourself only once a week. If you keep on weigh everyday, you will only discourage yourself. If you weigh yourself only once a week, you will be able to analyses whether you need to make change to your existing routine or not.
* Keep a photo of a heavier version of yourself in plain view. This will keep be motivating how great you look after loosing weight than you were before loosing extra pounds. It will also prevent you from sliding back into old habits.
* Once you have achieved your weigh loss goals, and then imagine what you want yourself to look like. This will give you the motivation to keep the weight off.
* Keep setting higher and higher goals for you towards your fitness. If you do not set new goal for you and work to achieve them, then you will surely run in to our bed habit. As a result, you will not be able to keep the weight off. So it’s a great idea to keep on setting new goals and get in perfect shape. As you know it’s a really tough task to keep what you have achieved than what you are looking for.
These are some of ideas that keep me motivated towards my weight loss and fitness program. There may be many more reasons for you to motivate yourself to loose weight.
