Some cats just aren't social. Bathe your cat once a week.

First: Cats don't like anything that is not their own idea. You need to let her come to you. Bribe her with food. All things good and yummy should come from you until she learns that you're a great friend.
Second: Cats are self cleaning. Let her take care of it unless she gets into something hazardous she can't lick off. Then, good luck friend, you are on your own. LOL.
No, seriously. See how she reacts. Some cats, while they hate water, won't fight much, see if she will tolerate it. If not, hold her (tightly) by the scruff (loose skin on the back of her neck), some cats go limp, some don't, but that is the only way not to get bitten or scratched to pieces. It's good to have someone help you because you will be one handed. Have shampoo, towels, and all other supplies ready before you clue the cat in to what's in store. The kitchen sink is most comfortable, but if she gets away from you, you will have a pissed, soaking wet cat tearing through your house. The bathroom is probably best, you can close the door for everyone's safety.

I don't know why your cat doesn't like being pet or held but I bathed my cat once and that was when he is a kitten. He bathes himself and he doesn't get dirty and has really nice soft fur. But if you have an outside cat then you should bathe him like once or twice a month. But beware when your cat gets bigger it will probably be hard to give her a bath.

I don't know why, but my cat doesn't like to be held either maybe its just the kind of cats their are..
I think you should bathe her like once a week it depends how often she gets dirty.

some cats just do not like to be pet. Would you want to be pet all the time if you were a cat?i think not.i usally bathe my cat at lest once a month

most cats dont like being confined, some are just very anti social and dont like being petted either. You dont have to bathe your cat they do it themselves its not recommended to bathe them at all unless they got themselves into something they cant or shouldnt clean themselves.

your cat doesnt like being petted or holded because she is proabably pregnant or in a bad mood you shoul take her a bath every two weeks

She just likes to be left alone. Bathe her all you want, but the fur will stick to your tongue.
