Are there really people like the Nanny 911 people?

I watch both sometimes.. However, I tried to watch one of the Nanny 911 last night and it didn't seem like the Nanny Yvonne was doing much good. Where were the rules for what to do when the child misbehaves? All she did was say stop the yelling, but not what to do instead. I didn't even watch it all. I love SuperNanny, though. The ideas are always good and very helpful. I have it set to record every week so I don't miss it.

Why do you need some help withyour kids? I love to get kids in line and I don't do all that whiney compromising with a child crap that nanny 911 does on that show. I know some kids right now that would make that woman cry.

When I was a kid my parents didnt need help from people like that. The solution came in the form of a piece of leather about 3 feet long with a buckle on one end. It's called a belt. Applied to the behind of an out of control kid, it can do wonders. More people should try that nowadays. From what I've seen, most of these "experts" who have all the advise about raising kids dont have any children. You can't give advise about something you've never experienced. I have kids. Spanking does wonders. I'm not talking about abuse, thats something totally different. Those who think spanking is abuse are usually the ones with the out of control kids.

I hope so, after observing some people with out of control children, someone needs to do something! Its amazing how many biological parents have no idea of what being a parent means!!
How an adult can "learn" to be controlled by a child, sometimes a very young child, is way beyond me. The so called parents need to grow up and take control and establish rules and boundaries.
