My family is going through a crisis, to where my little brother is being blamed for something that he hasn't done.. All of his friends have turned against him and are telling a million lies that arent true.. the cops from our small town are harassing him... they don't go to our parents when they have a problem with him.. instead they stock him and arrest him ( he is 15 years old)! They question him when they aren't suppose to because he is a minor, his parents have to be there for them to do so... What are we suppose to do?? My brother never lies and he doesn't get into trouble because then that would mean he would get kicked off the football team, and football is his LIFE! I need someone professionally to help me out.. or if you know someone who can help let me know.. I have no money, we are pretty poor.. so yeah I need some help... thanks

okay for one, he is being harassed by the police.. I know for a FACT that most of all the stuff my brother is being blamed for is not true.. And here in Oregon, the cops CANNOT question a minor if their parents aren't there.. The only things the cops should be worried about is the MIP because he confessed to that.. but the taggings around town wasn't him because he staid the night with our cousin that night and they all said even the adults said that they staid up watching football games, and then they are trying to get him for some stolen gun.. when it was his friend who stole it from our dad, and they are trying to get my brother for breaking and entry which isn't true because he was at home grounded.. and the are also trying to get him for shooting out a window in a store, the cops said that he was sitting accross the street with our little brother and shooting out the windows, which isn't true, because we were driving by it when we heard a window break, we thought we were being,

The police have to have reasonable suspicion to detain your brother...and probable cause to arrest him. If they know he is a minor, then they should not be questioning him, you are right.
What you should do is speak with a lawyer. You said you don't have a lot of money, so try the public defender's office. I assume you are in the US? That's where I am, so the information would only be relevant here. Also, many many lawyers give a first hour free consultation to let you know what you can do...if there is a case, etc....so check out that option as well. Good luck.

Honey... first of all, you should go to your parents. As long as the cops think that ur all afraid of ur parents... they're gonna take full advantage of that.

Secondly, u should contact child-line or child protection services and let them know that a 15 year old boy is being harassed by police officers and that u need a legal representative to support your brother.

Thirdly, you should take legal action against the boys that spread these lies & got him into trouble. Sue them for emotional truama and ull see... they'll come out with the truth soon enough!!

Good luck baby!!

you can go talk to a lawyer and see if your family can afford his service.sounds like your brother will need a lawyer at this point. issues involving a gun tends to raise concern on any side. your brothers friend may have taken the gun but did your brother know about it.more than likely you brother will go to court and a lawyer will represent him for free and those lawyers are not the best in the world. you may not like my answer but it is a proven fact. your little brother should stay off the streets untill this is resolved. good luck

Let me ask you this: Do you know FOR A FACT that he did not do what the poilce say he did? The police have to have a reasonable suspicion to believe that he participated in someting, to arrest him. We are judged by the company we keep. If he was hanging around the wrong crowd, then what can we do? He has to learn to make better choices and better friends. The police CAN question him... their job is to maintain order in the community. If they see something suspicious... heck yea, they have all rights in the world to question him and anyone else who has a suspicious nature.

If he is really arrested just have him demand a lawyer and his parents. If the cops still question him after that sue their butts. Reminder
If you can not afford a lawyer one will be appointed to represent you at no cost to you.

Thar is no such thing as friends...MYSTERY OF CREATION
WHEN A PERSON IS IN TROUBLE OR IN DISTRESS ..THE DARK COLORS AND TRUE CHARACTER OF SOMEONE COMES OUT THEY SEPARATE FROM YOU AND IGNORE YOUR FEELING'S AND NEGLECT THE DUTIES OF AID...
YOUR BROTHER NEEDS TO LEARN TO KEEP MOVING AND FORGET WHAT EVERY ONE ELSE THINKS ..YES THE INFLUENCE OF OTHERS IS STRONG ..OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND ..YOU BROTHER NEEDS TO FOCUS ON HIM SELF AND MOVE ON TO A NEW LOCATION AND FORGET THE PAST LOOK TOWARDS THE FUT-ER
