Didja ever play golf? It's a cruel game. Michelle Wie will get into her game. Count on it.

Michelle Wie is a good golfer for a sixteen-year-old, but she has been christened as a media darling and ESPN will hype her constantly despite the fact that she has no business playing in the tournaments she does. If she was to actually play girls her own age, she would do very well (and perhaps actually deserve to try to qualify for some men's tournaments when she gets older), but she is yet another case of the hype not representing the reality.

The big deal is Nike. Michelle has tons of talent, but has yet to prove that she is qualified to be playing on any tour. She is being exploited by her parents and money hungry people trying to ride her coat tails. Her youth will soon be gone, and that is sad. I think the best answer for her at this point is to play in every LPGA event she can and forget about the other tours.
Michelle couldn't win most small time club tournaments since she hasn't been there.

She's 16 going on 12. Her parents need to quit cashing those Nike checks and let her go back to school and grow up. She's too young to be a professional, she has the physical talents, but not the mental or emotional maturity.

The big deal is all the $$$ she gets from Nike, so the TVs follows her every move, no matter how bad she plays.

When she was 13 and 14 it was astounding to see a little girl play that well.

Now that she is a 16 year old professional Nike shill, however, I find her annoying to the tenth power. She has no business in PGA tournaments - not because she is a girl, but because she is simply not good enough to be there.

Additionally, she has been caught twice on the LPGA tour not correctly penalizing herself (ie: cheating) and quickly resorted to the "I'm only 16" excuse both times. (Gee - I wonder how many other times she has not correctly penalized herself and got away with it?)

My personal opinion is that she will burn out early in her career and never achieve female "Tiger Status".

michelle wie is a golfing phenomenum, with an amazing swing. when her game matures, she is gonna win a lot of tournaments. give her some time, she is only 16. besides, if she's no big deal, why does she always get the biggest galleries?

She's a publicity stunt for the LPGA in order to maintain sponsors and attract new fans (like Tiger did for the PGA). She's highly overrated and will never win a tournament until Annika and others are past their peaks.

And until her game developes and she actually wins one or two then she should be given exemptions to play in mens tournaments not until. Now she is just a publicity stunt.

Anna Kournikova anyone!

She's young and very good but she is way overhyped. She also needs to win an LPGA event and quit worrying about playing with the guys.
