Thats easy love is just a word that explains a feeling that you feel i love music. people get the word love confused and try to make like so much more out of it. Dont get confused with such a simple word to express a feeling. Same for the word " hate" people say oh hate is such a strong word. No, it explains that you really dont like somthing.
Ex-
what sounds worse if someone says you stole somthing. or if someone calls you a theif ? theif sounds worse but means the same thing. dont get confuesd. write back what do you think???

There are some people who say it and don't really mean it. The one's who do mean it, say it because they have a great deal of love for people in general. They just like people. And those that really love others, tend to be people who are not judgemental. Hard to believe but there are still some people who really know about "agape" love!

i've done things like that in different parts of my life, and i can tell you that when i said it, it was because i was insecure of my own value... so i desperately kind of chased after guys, thinking that if i knew a little about them, it was enough for me to "love" them. i craved attention and some kind of confirmation of my worth, because i didn't have enough faith in myself to believe that i was a pretty, intelligent girl that could hold a guy's interest. i went to camp one year and met a guy that week, and by the end of the week, i thought i loved him. and the fact is, i actually didn't even meet him until about 2 days before camp was over. i called him afterwords, and we started dating. i'm glad that i didn't live near him, or our relationship would have gone way too far (i was too insecure to really stop him if he wanted to do anything). but although i lived far away from him, it was still a horrible relationship... i was being emotionally worn down on a daily basis, and it was because he wasn't who he claimed he was at camp.
i think it's tragic that this happens to others, and i often wish there were some way i could convince some of the girls i know that they are beautiful and that they don't need to be so stuck on getting a boyfriend. i learned from my mistakes (granted, later on in life): i just wish there were some way i could keep others from the heartache that i had to experience.
i know this answer isn't a very positive or uplifting one, but my past relationships weren't much to smile about, either...

i think that often times people use the word "love" in place of friendship, fondness and lust. maybe, they just say it because they like the idea of what love really means.

Disconnected sex. Those are the only reasons I've heard it being said, but it doesnt mean you have to drop your pants.
