For the Sims 2, I don't have the minium CPU stuff (-( I have Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 1.70GHz )-) and the required CPU is Pentium III or Athlon. I only have 1.70 GHz for CPU speed and the minium is 800 mhz with a T&L capable Video Card (2.0 Ghz without Hardware T&L Video Card). Minium RAM is 256 MB
and I only have 95.6 MB, yeah. Because of all this, will I still be able to play the Sims 2 (PC) even if I don't have all that stuff, yeah?

it'll run, but it definitely wont be worth it. i've played it when it was really slow, and it's absolute torture. you wont get very far and its really frusturating. dont bother with it. plus, it'll take up so much memory on your computer that all your other programs will run slow too. trust me, its just not worth it.

I think you may be able to install it and turn the game on, but it will run painfully slowly.

What some people have done to run the game on less than optimal machines, is to turn off all background programs. Disconnect from the internet, turn off the antivirus and everything that is running in the background that is not part of the OS. These instructions come with the manual and can also be seen at support.ea.com for the game.

Also when building lots and making families... minimalist is the operative word. No huge English garden with acres of bushes and plants and fences. Smaller families and plainer homes. Video settings need to be on the roughest resolution so you won't see a lot of detail, more like cartoon figures.

If you see a lot of red marks, then prepare to be really frustrated. If you only see one area in red, then that means you may be able to get by with a simple upgrade if you don't get a lot of expansion packs.

I have tried running it on my laptop, just for kicks. The Laptop has minimun requirements but when changing from view to view, it takes a minute to load and freezes at times. It's not fun.

I don't think that's going to work out. Even if the game loads and everything it will take forever and gameplay won't be fun. My cousin had a hard time with the Sims 2, and she has a P4 2.4 with 384mb of RAM. On my computer (AMD Athlon 1900+ with 512 mb of RAM and a 128mb video card) things are sometimes slow too. The Sims 2 is just v. resource intensive.

anyplace you're procuring it, it truly is going to say. basically go searching the web page for device criteria or something like that. And in case you do not have what it says it desires, you need to nevertheless be in a position to run it, yet probably with terrible performance.
