Been there, not fantastic, food isn't all that good either (I think they are used to serving up cr@p for druunken stag/hen/northeners with no taste buds!). Although I found 'Madame Jo Jo's' (I think's called - Place which has a fantastic drag act show) Really Really good.

The night clubs arn't bad either, however only cater for the northern palate when it comes to alcohole. Beer, WKD, WKD and yep you've guessed it....more bl00dy WKD !!! Can't stand the stuff myself and could find a decent bottle of wine either (except in that drag place !!). NOR could I find tequilla so had to make do with sh!tey Vodka slammers (which didn 't go down too well either).

We stayed in the Hotel Sheraton (which is at the oposite end from all the night life and stuff) which was really nice as you are away from all the noise. And the tram is only outside so you can jump on it to take you down to the party end / pleasure Beach end.
One thing I would make sure off is if you don't smoke, make sure you do get a Non smoking room as I found that the rooms which house smokers really do stink !!!! (even if they are cleaned)

Not a bad hotel really (well, we stayed there both times we visited Blackpool) .

Blackpool has a great club/pub culture but that causes it´s own problems. You are right in thinking the weekends are full of hen & stag parties but the weekdaysare a little more civalised. St Annes is a good place to be based, not far to travel into Blackpool.

The provincial on line casino marketplace does not have a tremendous sufficient shopper base to assist the casinos that are there now. Blackpool has 3 casinos on the city centre and that they are dumps and that they are quiet. Manchester has 6 or 7 on account that there have been 2 close down with the aid of detrimental overall performance lower back the casinos are scuffling with for the comparable shopper base. Liverpool has 4 casinos with the comparable tale. the place do the authorities think of the custom for a tremendous on line casino is going to return from you will possibly need an rather tremendous growth in community custom and many vacationer money besides. the only those that pass to Blackpool frequently are the Scottish. the authorities is speaking approximately examining the consequence of a tremendous on line casino and therefor purely establishing a million. in the event that they have been that involved they might have regarded at massive call city in Birmingham this is an rather tremendous on line casino the biggest in the united kingdom on the 2d and close to to financial disaster.

Blackpool is great if you like that sort of thing. The nightlife is basically extremely tacky and chavvy, there is often fighting to be seen in the streets or clubs.
Blackpool is much better in the day, real seaside atmosphere, and Blackpool tower is always worth a visit and a photo.

In all seriousness, Blackpool is the singular place to avoid if you don't want to holiday with the abominations of humanity. It is dire beyond all reason and probability. It is crass and hostile, ugly and unrepentant.
Go visit Scotland instead, even Bo'ness would appear sophisticated by comparison...

Go somewhere else. Go to Paris for 32 quid return on Ryan Air. Blackpool is not that much fun.

Are you totally out of your mind? Even Grimsby on a wet Wednesday would be more fun!

Go to Southport instead - much nicer and a lot less tacky.
