There's a whole website dedicated to it.

He seems to be biased though, because the rates are high, and he used to be a pizza delivery man.
I tip $1 for every $10, or 10%. I might come down a little bit on that, though, because we've been getting some crappy service. Also most restaurants charge a delivery fee, which in that website I listed, the guy says "that's not the delivery-person's fault, and they don't get that money". Well it's money from my pocket!
A dollar isn't bad if it's 10 or even 20 dollars, but I think if you've got a $50 pizza order, you should kick it up a couple notches.

Bear in mind that some pizza delivery places have a tip built into the delivery cost. Find out if that's true at your pizza place. (if you notice the price goes WAY up between your coupon and the price quoted over the phone- it is.) If that's the case, it's still polite to add a dollar or so. Otherwise, treat it like a waitstaff tip. I always bear in mind that this job entails wear and tear on their csar, and not just their time, so I tend to be a tad bit generous. Of course if they're rude, inexcusably late, smelly, or ruined my pizza, i don't tip at all.

$1.00 is usually good enough. I always give $2.00. More than that is not necessary. Think about it: Pizza boys usually make a lot more than minimum wage, plus they now get paid a hefty gas allowance, and a tip of more than $2.00 for a $10.00 pizza?! I don't think so. But that's just me.

Between 10 and 15%, but never more than that.

I tip them well, because they then come to my house FIRST out of several deliveries. Hot pizza is worth the bigger tip!

I give them at least a gallon of gasoline price. If it took more than that to get to my house, then they should think of a different means of transportation that would profit them!

I give them $ 2.00....but here in Toronto.....they add a delivery charge. I still give $ 2.00 to the driver because I don't know if they see that delivery charge.
