I've searched online; ebay, adt.com, battery websites, along with walmart, and local electronic stores, and no one has the type of battery that I need for my adt system. Now what should I do! I can't get ahold of anyone knows either. The 800 number doesn't even know!! How crazy is that!!

Hi,

I had probems to find some other Batteries and just opened them and bought the cells that are inside and replaced them. This worked until now always. If the battery is closed and it is a Batterypack then ask an friend who is good in electronics to open it. You can buy the cells for sure somewhere. The ADT Company use for sure normal batteries and cover them with their pack. It is very likely that in the battery pack are standard battery-cells.

nice greetings

Write down the part number and specifications off the battery, and the physical dimensions, if you can. Most alarms use an SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) battery, most are fairly generic, meaning that any number of manufactures make one that is close. A good wholesale electronics shop can help.
Try on line at Dantona Battery, and see who distributes them in your area.
Or try the following:
You may have to e-mail them the information you have, if the part number doesn't show on their website. Most places can substitute based on part number or description, provided you reach a salesman with some experience.
