The issue is very inflammatory. This problem has been going on for years and no end in sight. Many aspect of the problem provoke knee jerk reactions when people don't really understand the various aspects involved with illegal immigrants such as relates to employment by large companies and farmers who say they will go out of business if illegal immigrants are stopped or discouraged from coming here.

It's an easy way of shutting down debate. Instead of addressing the point you're making, they cry 'racist!' - the equivalent smear as being accused of Communism in the past - to de-legitimize what you have to say. They think they are special. I have nothing against other races. I say welcome if you come here the legal way! Get out illegals. I don't want to hear it takes years to become legal.
