On the most basic of levels there would be no harm at all. Jesus was a Jew and it would have been normal for him to take a wife and have a family. Some apostles had wives and children, so it was not forbidden.
Jesus wasn't put on Earth to do that, but doing that would not have interfered with his purpose...so no harm..no foul.
The arguements against the marriage are:
First and foremost, it was never stated in the Bible. Such a monumental event would have been mentioned...so say some scholars.
Second, the church heirarchy would have to contend with a possible bloodline from Jesus. If he had children, and they had children...etc....etc....
But bottom line...there wouldn't be any harm. Just more debate about why if "something so grand" wasn't mentioned in the Bible.....What else did they leave out?

It wouldn't have harmed faith, it wouldn't have changed the outcome. I guess the only problem with it is that's its not true. Why do so many people want it to be true? I really don't get that. The DaVinci Code was a good book, but apparently there's a lot of people who simply do not understand the difference between fact and fiction. It was fiction, the writer made very clear its fiction, so why the big hoopla? I think this world has a lot of people simply too ignorant to be able to read a fictional book, they don't grasp the concept of fiction. No wonder there's so many fools out there trying to look like vampires, they think they're real.

Humanly speaking there is no harm. But remember, Jesus was half spiritual and for the teachings and demonstrations he professed as to sensual pleasure to be true then he would of had to lived a life to the highest standards that he taught. He did, for the ascension proved so. Otherwise, we would not be speaking of his teachings 2000 years later and his wisdom and understanding of man and God.

If it was so, it would be in the scriptures....read them. There is not a word...only that she was a follower of Christ, as was the other disciples. I don't think Christ had time for a wife! Read about His ministry and death at a early age....but then He Arose! All the controversy just confuses people and takes there attention away from the Word of God. Pick up the Book and read it. God Bless.

That was not God's intent for the mortal man Jesus. Jesus was and is God's Body to interact with mankind. Jesus The Christ was both fully God and fully man. The mission was very specific for Jesus' ministry. It did not include marrage.

It would only question the divinity of Christ.. which is not in question.
Harmful -- yes
and even Dan Brown himself has stated many times to you that is book is a work of Fiction.. he never tried to play it off as truth. so why should you believe that it is? if the author does not

Jesus Christ came for the purpose of Calvary. He was totally consumed with the Will of God.
