I suggest you visit "America Supports You," a portal listing non-profit organizations supporting the troops, at www.americasupportsyou.mil - Click on "Make a Difference" and you'll find a variety projects to show your support. Another site I highly recommend is called "Any Soldier" at www.anysoldier.com - they have a list of deployed troops (Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard) asking for pen pals, letters from home, snacks, toiletries, etc. It's one of the best sites I've seen to support the troops and you can read about the troops' updates directly on the site. You do have to sign up and there are rules, so read the site completely. I hope this helps you.

Yahoo is honestly the positioning of determination for deployed squaddies. i replaced into in Iraq 2 years in the past and used it to make certain my kin and verify with them utilising voice chat and likewise..to digital mail them. The servers set up for squaddies to apply are frequently geared round Yahoo so as that the internet service is standardized and faster truly than people getting on diverse internet internet sites continually. also, if the guy you're in contact with is contained in the military they must have what's called an AKO digital mail deal with. AKO is a threat-free website offered with the help of the dept of protection for squaddies to apply. i wish this answer helped. V/R SSG. Raise money for phone cards to send them. Nothing means more than to speak with family for a little bit.

I was *going* to say wirte letters to anysoldier... but... even though they know that thinking goes on and fight to defend your right to it, they really don't need to hear it.
If you *really* do want to support them... cook dinner for an overstressed military wife. Cut their grass. the little things really do help... and when the soldier/sailor/marine/airman hears that his/her family is being taken care of... that improves morale more than anything.

Join the Armed Forces of the USA because otherwise you don't support the troops or their mission.

being someone who served in Iraq, I wouldn't have been interested in receiving "support" from you.
