Why do girls in an OFFICE setting think it's OK to have pictures of themselves in booty short and tank tops as their background on their PC? What in the world would give someone in a professional office setting that Idea that it's ok?

Good Answers everyone.
Management of that department had to put the smack down on backgrounds. NONE that is not installed with your PC
Also to the person that said it's their PC. No, its COMPANY PROPERTY.

LOL! I feel you! I don't know what's wrong with people. After a couple of incidents, my office recently sent out a memo forbidding people from wearing flip flops, see-through shirts, halter tops, mini-mini skirts and pants so low people can see their thongs. It's like the word professionalism has been deleted from the language.

Unless this office is at a strip club, Playboy or whore house it is completely inappropriate. The problem more so is management. There should be guide lines for this sort of thing. Obviously you find this offensive, and so may a client who sees it walking by. And you answered your own question "GIRLS" any self respecting woman would leave this for the boyfriends wallet.

Oh, that's terrible! They should generate a memo about that. The office is not the place for those pictures.

That is very UN-professional. I can not imagine that there office manager would allow this. It is very tacky. They either have a very big opinion of themselves, or they have no class.

We are very strict on what the screen saver or BG is on the PC.
Remember, it is the company's property, you're just borrowing it

It is not right but the company and workers don't seem to mind or think there is anything wrong in it so I wouldn't dwell on it.

I guess they didn't have proper training.
Sometimes I wish an office ethics workshop were a work requirement or something.

Why do they do it? Because they are unprofessional, to say the least.
Blame the manager/supervisor in that office. If he/she was against such work ethics, then it wouldn't be allowed.

most people have no common sense and seem incapable of taking a few minutes and thinking about the appropriateness of their actions....this happens in many areas...being self-centered they see everything from their perspective..never how others may view it
