Should Mexico cough up some of the cost?

This is what I think. The US should put a 80 ft solid concrete wall (10 ft under ground and 30 ft above ground). Then a mine field on the US side of the wall (about 50 yard wide).

I'm against putting up a fence on the us/ Mexico border because If we do that then we would have to build a fence across the Us/ Canada border too. It's totally racist to build a fence across the Us Mexican border the only reason why Mexico is targeted is because of the color of there skin. It's not because they are very hard working and steal "Jobs" that no one in America will take. It would be nice if fewer people came to America from all over the world. That will not happen either since if people want to come here bad enough they will find a way come hell or high water.

lets see. 10 ft underground plus 30 ft above ground equals 80 ft? Perhaps we should just build a wall around your house to keep you out of the general population.

You already asked this. If the U.S. wants to put up the border then the U.S. should pay for it. As for Mexico, the government needs to do it's part in improving its' economy in order to keep the people there.

Put yourself in a country where you have no opportunity. To the north is a country with much. Add to that rampant corruption which makes it very difficult to emmigrate legally and ask that question again.

If that is what is necessary to end illegal immigration from Mexico, so be it. We have tens of thousands of miles of freeways, one 2,000 mile fence is no sweat.

I like Carlos Mencia's idea. Let's have the illegals build it. Much employment and not far to send them when its done.
