for one thing, who cares what your friends think? if they are teasing you because you like a guy that they dont like, then they arent very good friends. Also, when you grow up, your going to learn that looks arent everything. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A guy can be soooo hot but a total ***. or butt ugly and a perfect gentlmen. Follow your own heart and ask him out. and if your friends talk ****, put them in their place. tell them that if they were really your friends they would be happy for you instead of talking ****. They shouldnt be so superficial as to think that everything is based on looks. what about whats on the inside...your friends sound shallow and you should tell them that.

Well why do you like him in da first place ? His personality, good looks, charm, sophistication, the way he dresses, his build, attitude, intelligence ?
If they're bugging you bout it, why does it bug you ? What are they saying ? Are they calling him a loser ? Are they laughing @ you for liking him ? Is he an outcast ? Tell them that you see something in him that others don't... If they're your friends they shouldn't be bugging you. Maybe you can politely ask them to stop... or you can ignore them when they bug you & not talk to them... Who knows, you 2 could hit it off really good :) Does he know that you like him ? Maybe try to talk him to him, get to know him a lil better :) I don't know how old you are but if they're bugging you cuz you like someone, I'm guessing that you're all young & still having your first crushes. If that's the case, well, most peeps grow out of "bugging" their friends who like someone. Good luck !!! :)

Be secure in how you feel and don't let what your friends think bother you. I went through the same situation when I was a Freshman in High School. I went for it and he and I ended up dating ALL through high school AND my friends were jealous by the time we were Seniors because he was the cutest guy on the football team by then! YAA HOO for me! and - YAA HOO for you!

And what can they do about it but talk.
Besides, If there reservations are on the basis of looks, then its not founded. Make them see how much you like the guy and vice versa.
However, don't ditch your friends because of this - no one knows tomorrow

Take no notice of them! If you like him and he likes you, what's the problem?
We all have different tastes when it comes to men and what some might find attractive, others don't. If we all thought the same and liked the same thing, life would be very boring!
Have fun :-)

Tell your friends that you really like this guy, and if they value your friendship and your happiness they'll reserve their negative comments when you're around.
Remind them that it's YOU, not them who's dating this guy...
If they're really your friends they'll respect you. If not, be careful since they can act that way about other things, they don't really, truly care about your happiness.

So what if they don't like him? They should be happy for you because he makes you happy. If they don't get over it, they're not good friends. Just tell them to stop talking crap and that it bothers you. Find new friends if they don't stop.

You are one woman in a billion if you actually care more about the man than about your friends' opinion of the man.
If he rolls his eyes, it's PROBABLY because he doesn't believe them when they tell him, is sick of hearing it and afraid to believe it lest it get his hopes up.
