I thought it was a burnt noodle when I was cooking it and I went to pick it out and found that... I have never felt so sick in my life.

Just so you know, he was cooked with the noodles. I saw the "brown noodle" when I first broke the noodles apart in the water.

In response to people who say it couldn't have come out of the package, I ask then where from. I have hot water boiling on all my open burners on the stove (I'm sick) and I just cleaned by kitchen top to bottom Saturday. All i did was pour noodles into a clean pan (which I always rinse out before making anything) and then dump in the spices.

And to add to it, I inspected the glass (you cna see I put the soup into a large orange plastic glass) when I went to pour it in. Not to mention, as I said earlier, I saw something brown in the soup but figured it was just a burnt noodle.

Basically, I'm sick & got my fiance sick. I opted to make some Ramen to help and to make up for getting him sick. As I was stirring the noodles and lowering the heat, I saw a brown noodle with I assumed was just a burnt noodle. I poured al the broth into my fiance's bowl and brought it to him, went back to get a cup and eat the noodles myself. I saw the brown noodle and tried to pick it out and then saw it wasn't a noodle at all.

I've never liked top ramen. I always eat Maruchan Ramen. As for the "what would you do" part. I ould stare at it for about three seconds, realize what it was, then run to the bathroom pucking. After that, I would write/call Top Ramen and tell them and show them the pictures via mail or email and get something back, like money, or something. Don't be all "umm, I was eating your soup stuff and found a bug and....blahblah" in a weak small gentle voice. but don't be b!(+#y about it either. if they offer you a supply of that stuff, put your foot down. Good Luck.

It's disgusting...but I want to add to the people here who say that it perhaps did not come out of the noodle package. It is very difficult to have such an animal inside the package and then cook it and it still looks nice with all the structure and pattern (stripes).
Could it have been falling into the soup while preparing? From the ceiling? Stove vent?
It is not going to do any harm, insects, larvae and such are not poisonous. You may have not even tasted it. Actually some cultures eat those guys since they are protein rich.
So - nothing dangerous. It is just for our standards really - disgusting.
Do one thing...if you have more packages...check them. perhaps they have wholes in the plastic wrap? That could mean that those critters (they rarely appear as one) chewed their way through either in the store, storage of the company or where you had stored the package.

Contact them. As much as I hate to say it, stuff like this does happen. I don't want to downplay the situation but ... it happens. Contact them, give them the details of it, save the package or wrapper because that might have info on it that they need [packing number, lot, maunfacture date etc]. It could have been something that was in the mix when the noodles were packaged, something that found it's way in there when they were drying or even something that got in it at the store if the seal wasn't 100% closed on the seam.
Take a break from ramem or at least that brand ...
Good luck!

I tried not to look at the photos, but I did, and now I feel sick. That's disgusting. Sorry that happened to you. You have the photos. The only thing you would probably get is some sort of refund or free soup (like you want more of it) from them. You may not get to far with your complaints as far as money is concerned.

Good thing you have pictures of it. I would immediately call the 1-800 # on the back of the package and complain. Most likely that won't want the bad publicity and they will do something about it in return.

I'd throw the food out and wash the bowl.
If it was from the Ramen, I'd be thinking of some other things, but too many to list.

That is really disgusting. That would keep me from ever eating that ramen soup again. I'd also contact the company and complain about it - that is gross and you could have gotten sick or gotten a disease from it.

Can you swear that neither your bowl or pot had a mystery object? If the package was partly open it could be a worm that grew up there. Be careful about food you buy from that market.
