Fly, to drive you have to factor in rooms and eats for the whole drive. Not to mention gas is crazy.

That depends on what kind of car you are driving. Do you plan to stay anywhere along the way? LA is about a 33 hour drive from Wisconsin depending on how fast you go. My brother and I made it there in less than a day a few years ago but we were hauling as*. Most of the time we were doing 90 mph. My boyfriend drove back from there and it took him over 30 hours. It's something that your are going to have to investigate for yourselves and concider how many times you are going to have to stop for gas on the way out there and back, if you stop anywhere to stay and if you eat, if you encounter any problems on the way, and how long to you want to spend on your spring break IN A CAR! I would totally fly. Cheaper and quicker. Driving is nice but not when you're on a budget and pressed for time. To stop babling and answer your question, flying would be cheaper.

I am one of those people who dislikes to fly unless I don't have a choice. I am from Washington, and my friend and I drove to Utah to see family, and then to Vegas. I probably spent about $250-$300 for gas; I have an SUV, and then we stayed in a hotel in Idaho, for about $45, after tax, and food was about under $100; we took a lot of snacks. So we spent about under $500 to get to Vegas from Washington.

Road trips are fun and you have the comfort of not being in a crowded plane. Yes it will take you a couple days to get where you are going, but at least you can carry your shampoo and other products with you...lol.

Fly - gasoline expenses are loopy intense - you will pay soooo plenty an afternoon just to park your automobile (final semester at my college, i paid $11 an afternoon to park my automobile, and that became into in basic terms for 7 hours!!) - you will no longer possibly use the automobile as quickly as you get right here (in the adventure that your gonna bypass around the city, believe me, u gets nowhere with your automobile, you will finally end up walking or taking the subway) e book a flight - e book NOW earlier expenses get intense. Delta and Jet Blue are often much less high priced.

Being on a plane for 3 hours is FAR more comfortable than being in a car, no matter how comfortable. And it's probably way cheaper.... but even if it's only slightly more expensive, then it's still worth it to fly.

if you can fly between major airports(OHare to LAX or Midway to Vegas, for example) then fly; otherwise, drive

if gas is a concern, rent a compact car(Chevy Cobalt)with unlimited mileage

That depends on how much you value you're freedom. Airports will violate it any chance they get.
