So far the lady I'm seeing has remained about the same for the year I've been seeing her (I'm a home support worker). She has no short term memory at all and constantly tells me the same things from her childhood over and over. Today she just slept though.

Pretty much. Every person is different, but from what I've noticed (my Grandfather died of the disease) it's primarily they're upset that they can't control themselves and don't know what's going on. My Grandfather remembered strange things and of course forgot pretty much everyone. At first he thought I was my grandmother, she died 5 years before him, and I think the only reason was, is when I was around him with other family members he would hear my name (the same as hers) and thought I was her. He never did anything he would just talk to me as if I was my Grandmother. It was really sad for me as I was very close to the both of them growing up, so I wouldn't visit as much he would always ask where I was and why did they keep me from him. They gave up trying to explain because he of of course would become very mad. He also forgot his own son and for some strange or odd reason would remember his son-in-law (my father) and not even my Mother, his daughter. It's odd and the only thing we can do is love them for who they were.

Yes. Most people with Alzheimers do have violent outbursts. My grandfather has Alzheimers AND Dementia. He doesn't know what's going on anymore, he doesn't know his wife of 55 years either. I am his only grandchild and he doesn't know me. He gets angry and hits the nurses and hits us. But, it may never happen to her. I hope not but, it is possible. It's an awful thing to go through.

No. My mom had it when she died and she was mainly just delusional - asking if I was God and whether the room she was in was the afterlife.
