Getting healthy isn't about dieting for a certain period of time, its a change of lifestyle. Dont go down a road which can lead to anorexia, you can fall seriously ill and well its just stupid. Try to have 5 meals a day make sure your portion sizes are small and healthy. Here is an example of a typical food routine- Breakfast - Coffee/Tea whatever & Fruit Snack 1 - Nuts or dried fruit Lunch- Chicken Salad Snack 2 - Yogurt? Dinner- Lean Meat with steamed vegetables and potatoes. Have a lot of water and yes have dessert but a small quantity. It will take time but the results will be amazing!And exercise 30min - 1hr a day Good Luck :)

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. The best way is diet and exercise. Maybe you need to reevaluate what you are eating everyday. You might also want to keep track of what you are eating everyday and how many calories, grams of fat, etc. each food item contains. Also 30 min. of exercise 5 days a week will help. It all depends how much you want to lose, but doing it this way will help you keep off the weight in the long run.

Keep this kind of meal between 400 and 800 calories. Serve yourself a smaller sized portion, so if you like heading back for seconds, you'll just turn out eating a normal-size portion.
