I'm a computer geek and I haven't been able to fix this! There are times when I want to select several pictures using the SHIFT method but it just won't do it. I have to click and drag, or select one by one with CONTROL. Any suggestions?

I noticed this same problem and it it took me a bit to figure out why it only worked sometimes. The pictures have to be sequentially named or numbered. e.g. if your pictures are named Bernard, Andrew, Simon, Marvin, you won't be able to block move them. But if you shift them around so they are Andrew, Bernard, Marvin, Simon, they will block move. As long as the pictures are in numerical and/or alphabetic order, any "gaps" in the sequence don't have to be filled in.

You don't say what you think the shift method is, so I will spell out what I would do for what I know as the shift method:
Click on the first one then hold down shift and click on the last one then let go of the shift.

Sounds like an issue with the software. Have you tried to "shift" select with other programs .. Outlook, Excel, etc.? This will tell you if it is an issue with just the one program.

Only other suggestion would be "ctrl A" and then de-select the ones you don't want.

Good luck.

left click the first picture, all other pictures, hold down the control key and click each one. Then, go back to the first picture, right click and carry all the pictures to your desktop or a folder. Simple.

If you really were a computer geek you'd know the answer to this question.
