Well, I can tell you that they don't just come out of thin air. Your only bit by the female mosquito, and this is because she needs the protein to produce eggs. Most of the time mosquitos feed on necter, and males feed on it exclusively. When the time comes a male will mate with a female. The female will then seek out a victim to draw blood from, whether it be human or animal doesn't much matter to her. She then must find a small body of water with little surface disturbance. She then lays her eggs on top of the water, if they sink, which they will if the water moves, they will suffocate. When the larve hatch from the eggs they hatch into the water, swimming around eating anything edible. When they are ready they must return to the surface of the water to pupate. The form a shell around themselves, with a bit exposed above the water, if this isn't done the mosquito will surely drown when it amerges. Finally the mosquito, after complete metamorphosis, will break out the end that is exposed to the air, and walk out onto the surface of the water. They'll dry off their wings and take flight to go out, eat some necter, and mate to repeat the cycle.
Oh, and btw the are found everywhere on the face of the earth, so long as there is a long humid summer in that place. They aren't just native to south and central america. They are very common in the United States, except in the desert, as well as Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. You won't find them in cold places, such as areas above sixty degrees north and eighty degrees south. It's just not warm enough and humid enough for them to prolifferate.

You are correct in saying that they originated in South America, as to the specific country, I'm not sure, but you could probably assume that it would have been a country where there was a lot of trading, as settlers, traders, came in ( invaded, whatever you want to call it ) then left, moving the mosquito around the globe.
It frustrates me, because I saw a show on Animal Planet about this very subject and cannot remember the specifics.
Hope this helped out.

Mosquitoes are in the order Diptera and developed long ago. By long ago, I mean when the continents were attached as a super continent. Saying they come from a country is silly considering were feeding on dinosaurs.

i know this has no longer something to do with the insects, yet I too have eczema & i realized i'm allergic to aloe. A dermatologist suggested that various those with dermatitis issues are allergic to it. you may favor to verify your shampoo, conditioner, cleansing soap & lotion & razors typically have aloe on the moisture strips & get them out of your existence. I also hear various dermatitis victims are also allergic to exploit. i'm no longer, yet i have repeatedly heard that's a difficulty-loose hypersensitive reaction for persons like us. Sorry i'll no longer help you with the different situation. besides the undeniable fact that the may be fleas, like all different human being suggested. I have had fleas contained in the homestead & they go away small welt even as they chew--the welts are a lot smaller than a mosquito welt & they DO get itchier as you scratch them.
