I think the normal joe on the street would feel pretty bad but the fanatics have said that they deserved it. By the way, did you know about the hypocrisy of the muslim hijackers? Most if not all were found to be doing all the things that their religion says should not be done, according to records of their transactions while here. Isn't Islam a convenient religion?

Of course we don't feel "they deserved it". As for not supporting the government, Jehovah' s Witnesses have deep respect for the appointed authorities. Jehovah commands this of us. We also have deep sympathy for the families of those who lost their lives in 9/11.

We felt great pain for those who died on 9/11.
We even received a thank you letter from the Major of N.Y. for the help and food the Bethel family in Brooklyn provided to the workers.
No victim of violence deserves it.
We believe that such violence is evidence that we are living in the last days, when Jehovah thur his Son will end all such acts, and bring about the paradise Jehovah intended for mankind.

Of course they don't believe the innocent victims of 911 deserved it! They were upset too. They believe that God (who's name is Jehovah) is the number 1 thing in the world and you should honor him before you honor the government. I know JW's who work for the federal, state, and city governements.

Even folks who are not Jehovah's witnesses think that the victims deserve it. Why step on Jehovah's witnesses?

Um. My boyfriend is a JW, and he doesn't feel that 'they deserved it' but he feels it is being made too much of. He cited evidence that more people die on a given day in, say, car crashes, and car crashes aren't given so much media coverage. In other words, he feels the only reason people know is because of the media, and the only reason the media covers it is because it is sensational. He doesn't think it is something for an entire nation of people who don't even know those who died to have fits over.

A Jehovah Witness emailed me over and over and over trying to convert me and LIED when I asked if he was one. He insisted he wasn't a Jehovah Witness though he got on my case for changing the command of the bible to have the Sabbath on Saturday to Sunday. Yet, when I told him that the correspondence wouldn't continue unless he told me what affiliation he had if he wasn't a Witness as he claimed, I never heard from him again. Needless to say, I don't trust a "Christian" who lies about it.
